Composite Volcanoes- Formed of layers of ash and lava. The eruption of these volcanoes is of pyroclastic flow composed of superheated mixture of hot steam, ash, rock and dust. These volcanos are explosive and are life threatening. Shield Volcanoes- Gently slopped sides and it is formed with the layers of the lava. The eruptions are gentle and just flow to long distance, less explosive in nature.
